Lake Titicaca, Peru - 17 May 2018; native child in shot Situated at 3,812 metres (12,507 ft) elevation, the beautiful, jewel-like Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable body of water in the world. Straddling the countries of Bolivia and Peru, it is dotted with scenic, often inhabited, none are stranger than the numerous self-built floating reed islands, inhabited by the indigenous Uro or Uros people.
