Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton. Fossilised Tyrannosaurus rex (T-rex) tail bones supported by a metal armature frame. These bones are part of a near complete T-rex skeleton being refurbished by Phil Fraley Productions, USA. To create the display, the dinosaur skeleton, which was first mounted over 100 years ago, is taken apart, bone by bone, and, after renovation and refurbishment, is re-mounted. It will be exhibited at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History posed as if fighting over a fresh kill. Photographed in 2007.
