Sometimes they take the form of condylo-mata, which are probably nothing but aggravated mucous patches. Oc-casionally in the secondary stage distinct tubercles form, breaking downlater into cup-shaped ulcers with thickened edges. The details of theseprocesses have been spoken of under the heading of syphilis of thepharynx. The shape of these superficial ulcers is rounded or oval, andthey secrete pus of normal appear
