Expedition 50 ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet waves farewell to family and friends as he, Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy of Roscosmos, and NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson depart the Cosmonaut Hotel to suit-up for their Soyuz launch to the International Space Station, Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 in Baikonur, Kazakhstan. Whitson, Novitskiy, and Pesquet launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan the morning of November 18 (Kazakh time)(Nov. 17 Eastern.)
