Picture in this wall relief are Akhenaten, the 18th Dynasty (New Kingdom) Egyptian pharaoh, who introduced the sole worship of the Aten (symbolized by the sun disk at top, extending its rays and blessings on the royal family - with a hand at the bottom of each ray) , and his wife Nefertiti and their three daughters. He ruled in the 1300s The daughters are Meritaten, Meketaten, and Ankhesenpaaten. The relief was found in Akhenaten (better known today as el-Amarna), the capital city built by Akhenaten. The style of the figures, with elongated heads, slim limbs, and elongated heavy stomach areas is known as the Amarna style.
