A late 19th century illustration of the collegiate church of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Gaudens is the main church of the town of Saint-Gaudens ( Haute-Garonne ). Dating from the 11th century, it is one of the representative buildings of Romanesque art in this region with its walls bearing the traces of many alterations. The bell tower was replaced with three upper floors and the pyramidal steeple in 1874 by the architect Laffolye.
