A Tibetan eight-plate helmet, 16th/17th century An iron skull of eight overlapping plates fastened together by leather straps with a baluster-shaped spike. The four exterior curved plates each have a fine central rib. The lower rim surrounded by holes. The leather binding has been largely replaced. Height 21 cm. Cf.
