It will remain longer in head, and stand a greater amount ofheat without burning or running to seed than any other desirable qualities have been thoroughly proven, and werecommend it to all. Is of un-usual size and solidity of head, with butlittle tendency to run to seed. We have hadit, time and again, eighteen inches in diameter, andweighing nearly four pounds, with heads almost assolid as an Early Summer Cabbage, which in generalform it somewhat resembles. The variety blanchesitself naturally, is crisp, tender and of excellent flavor,and always free from bitterness. The outside color is distinct.
