Unfinished wooden handles seen at a table football workshop in Quito, Ecuador, 3 March 2012. Table football, also known as futbolin in Latin America, is a widely popular table-top game in Ecuador. During the annual fairs, the rusty old outdoor-designed tables, fully ocuppied by excited children, may be found on all public places, particularly on the squares and in the parks. Although there have always been several small table football workshops in all large Ecuadorean towns, the table football craft and tradition is on a decline in last years, mainly due to the video-game boom.
