The traditional ceremony for the arrival of the “new year”, according to the Persian tradition, shared by Kurdish people, had been celebrated in Diyarbakir, in South Turkey. During the ceremony, ahead of the Presidential and Parliamentary elections scheduled for May 14, 2023, members of the pro-Kurdish parties HPD, Yesil Sol Party, and supporters of other opposition parties, attended the event.
