As men-tioned at the Riverside Convention, a method was worked out in which,l)y knowing the around the bottom and over the top of thetented tree, the contents can be readily determined. These measure-ments were at first secured by means of a tape line. This was alaborious process, especially so in securing the distance over the top ofthe tree.
