HELMAND PROVINCE, Afghanistan (June 3, 2018) — Afghan National Army 215th Corps instructors explain how to disassemble a SPG-9 recoilless rifle to Afghan Border Force soldiers in a SPG-9 course during the Operational Readiness Cycle (ORC) at Camp Shorabak. The ORC is a two-month-long course, which allows soldiers to take leave, solve administrative issues, adopt lessons learned, and train for their next assignment on the front lines. The soldiers within the kandaks are then separated into their specialty groups to further their education in their area of expertise.
