Clark, a super-visor of schools in Washington, D. C,where they now reside; and John RolandSpring, born Dec. 16, 1876. Mr. Springhas held the office of moderator, select-man, sujjervisor, and water was a member of the ConstitutionalConvention in 1876; vice-president forNew Hampshire of the American BarAssociation; represented the state in theSovereign Grai>d Lodge, I. O. O. F., for. the bar in 1860, settling in Milford, andsucceeding to the practice of Col. O. , when that gentleman went to thewar in command of the Eighth RegimentN. H. Volunteers. Mr. Spring remainedin active practice in Milford until late Hon. Bainbridge Wadleigh wasin practice in the town at that time, andusually they were pitted against eachother in the trial of causes. Mr. Spring removed to Lebanon in1870, where he has been in active prac-tice ever since. He married Ellen at Salmon Falls March 1, have four children,—Arthur L. four years; and is a Royal Arch 1876 Dartmouth college conferred thehonorary degree of A. M. upon him. Heis a member of the Judiciary Committeeof the House. He is a Spring had one brother. Dr. C. , of Boston, who died in 1888, andone sister, married, and now living inDecatur, 111. He inherited and
