Some of thecandidates from the eastern portion of the town hadfurnished a keg of whisky, which was to serve thedouble purpose of catching votes and enlivening theoccasion generally. The dispensers of this beverageimprovised a bar-room in the end of a shed belongingto one of the neighboring settlers, and were havingan exceedingly jolly time, when the owner of the. AGRICULTURE.
