We shall this day light such a candle, by Godsgrace, in England, as I trust shall never be put , as the flames arose, he cried, 0 Father of hea-ven, receive my soul! and received the flames as ifembracing them. He was next observed to stroke hisface repeatedly with his hands, and, as it were, bathedthem in the fire. His head then dropped, and heexpired with little if any suffering. The sufferingsof Ridley were protracted and horrible : but at lengthhis body slipped through or fell over the chain to thefeet of Latimer, and both were utterly consumed inthe fierce
