A grenadier's sabre, Bavarian Electorate, circa 1720 Slightly curved single-edged blade with a double-edged point and a narrow groove on either side. The coat of arms for the Bavarian Electorate beneath the motto "Vivat" is etched on both the obverse and reverse sides, and the obverse side bears the smith's mark "P".
