James Slape from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, to a funeral home in Morehead City, North Carolina, during his honorable transfer, Nov. 9, 2018. Slape was killed in action October 4, 2018, while serving in Afghanistan with the 430th Ordnance Company in support of Operation Resolute Support and Freedom Sentinel.
