Jackass morwong (Nemadactylus macropterus), 18th-century artwork. This fish is found off the Atlantic coast of South America, the coasts of southern Australia, and the coasts of New Zealand. This unfinished watercolour was painted by British artist Sydney Parkinson () on Captain James Cook's first voyage to the Pacific (1768-1771) in HMS Endeavour. This artwork is part of the collections held at the Natural History Museum, London, UK.
