New arrivals towing their huge mobile homes at the Clermont Caravan park in Clermont in Central Queensland, Australia. Clermont is a small town on the Great Dividing Range that still retains its old frontier atmosphere of wooden buildings that served the mining community, gold rush, settlers and farmers. It is one of the most historic towns in northern Australia. Campers known as ÔGrey NomadsÕ (Retirees) come from cooler southern states during the winter months, taking advantage of the warm tropical north.
