Frauenheim spent the brief span oflife that was allotted to him. The family of Frauenheim was founded in the UnitedStates by Edward Frauenheim, who was born in Osne-bruck, Germany, Oct. I, 1820. He came to Americain 1840, having received an excellent education in hisnative land, and he located at once in Pittsburgh, a time he followed the carpenters trade, and then,after a short period in mercantile pursuits, became abrewer and manufacturer of Pittsburgh. He was influ-ential in financial circles, and was at the head of impor-tant interests until his death, June 16, 1891. He mar-ried, in Pittsburgh, in 1851, Mary Meyers, also a nativeof Germany, who died Nov. 22, 1904. Mrs. Frau-enheim was a devout member of the Roman Catholicchurch, and a le
