The Philippines is a very religious country, the main religion being Christianity (Catholicism). As a consequence, when The People's Park in the Sky was built in Tagaytay, it included a statue of Jesus Christ to watch over the park which is situated on the top of a mountain. The statue depicts Jesus in a welcoming pose with outstretched arms, possibly as if he is blessing onlookers or welcoming a child.
