In the earlier days of collectingit was customary to look with especial favor uponstamps which had been manufactured in odd sizes andshapes. Indeed, many collectors at the present timehold these old issues in special regard. The triangularstamps of the Cape of Good Hope, for example, werefound so inconvenient in shape and size that their issuehas not been repeated in recent years except in thecases of countries whose use of stamps is comparativelysmall, such as Liberia and Obock.
