Canna x generalis (CG) is the scientific name for the common garden canna, canna lily, or Indian shot. It's a herbaceous perennial plant that can grow up to 6 feet tall and has white, yellow, red, red-orange, or pink flowers in the summer. CG is traditionally used as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic, and in Ayurvedic medicines preparations. It's also used in the treatment of boils, wounds, and abscess.
