In the Blue Solanum we have a far superior plant in every respect. It is of robust growth, soon making fine speci- mens that will climb over and cover a porch with most hand- somely cut foliage. In mild local- ities it is covered during the Sum- mer months with hundreds of clusters of large, lavender blue, Wisteria-like flowers, brightly set off with golden stamens, each cluster measuring 15 inches in cir- cumference, and often attaining^ a length of 12 inches. The flowers which often appear on the plants when only a few inches high are succeeded by scarlet berries, re- maining perfect for a long time. Price, 25 cents each. SICUTTELARIA PDLCHELLA. A neat house plant of easy cul- ture. It makes a desirable Winter blooming plant, at which time it produces dazzling red flowers profusely in terminal spikes. Price, 10 cents each. SAXAFRAGA SARMENTOSA, or Beefsteak Plant. A handsome plant of low habit, leaves nearly round and striped freely with silvery bands. Blooms white, of great beauty, and borne in spikes nearly twelve inches high. Adapted for hanging baskets, vases, etc. This is also known as Strawberry Geranium. Price, 10 cts.; 3 for 25 cts. ^ This very great climber is a great addition to our basket plants, possessing the rare qualities of deli- cate and tolerably dense foliage, and vmmg habit, admirably adapting it to clinging or drooping, as may be required. For using for a green with cut lowers it has no equal, its hard texture enabling it to keep for several days without wilting after being cut.
