The method of Soffner, Figure 268, consists of a forkedrope, both ends of which are passed under the chin strap of thehalter, then carried between the fore legs (f), thence to andthrough the ring (b) in surcingle (g), then the two ends arelooped around each fore leg above ankles =(a) (c). The animalis cast by making traction on free end of rope (e).
