Qazi Muheebullah, city court chief, speaks to defense attorneys and the crowd during a public trial in which Habib ullah Jangay, Khas Kunar Chief of Police, was charged with misuse of his position, and Shams urhman Momand, a logistics officer, was charged with corruption. The men were convicted of stealing food from the police department for personal use; Jangay was sentenced to one year in prison, and Momand was sentenced to 61 months and a fine of 346,500 afghani.
