Their boatwas the Saint-Etienne, a vesselof 350 tons, commanded byFrangois Grave Sieur du Pont. The voyage was a prosperous one, £.and a month after. May 25th, feastof the Translation of the body ofSt. Francis of Assisi, they cast anchorin the Gulf of the St. Lawrence op-posite Tadoussac.
