Sui Dynasty figurine wears a helmet, which also has a cloth underneath to provide an extra cover. This officer's armor covers the knees. There is a hole in one of the clenched hands for holding a lost weapon. Although originally painted in red and black and glazed all over in light yellow, most of the pigments have been replaced by incrustations of earth.
