The height from the under side of the sill over thetrolley board is 8 ft. 6% ins., and the sweep of the posts, 6 ins.;. The tread of theplatform steps is 12% ins. from the rail; from step to the plat-form, 12 ins., and from the platform to the car floor, 8^4 cars are equipped with angle-iron bumpers, ratchet-brakehandles, folding gates and other specialties of the buildersmake. The truck wheel base is 4 ft.; wheel diameters, 30 20 ins.; axle diameters, 434 ins. and ins. The motorsare 55 hp each. The weight of the car with trucks, but with-out the motors, is 18,390 lbs.
