Elisa Garnerin (born 1791), French balloonist and parachutist. In 1802, the French balloonist Andre Jacques Garnerin made the world's first parachute jump. Garnerin's wife Jeanne-Genevieve was his balloon pilot, and his niece Elisa often flew and jumped with him. Artwork published in 1854.
