Some plants of the latterwere resplendent with their scarlet drupes. The principal undergrowthconsisted of Lomaria dura, L. lanceolata, Asplenium bulbiferum, Nerteradichondraefolia, Asplenium flaccidum, Polypodium Billardieri, P. australe,Lomaria capensis, Hymenophyllum demissum, H. dilatatum, H. sanguino-lentum, and a species of Uncinia. In the damper parts I also notedNothopanax Colensoi, Coprosma areolata, Nothopanax Edgerleyi, AlsophilaColensoi, Rubus schmidelioides, Leptospermum scopariu
