For a long time the Westminster New Year Parade was swamped by US college and high school marching bands and pom-pom wavers, but thanks to worries about foreign travel after 9/11 and ridiculous dollar exchange rates it has now a rather larger English element, with many London boroughs and British organisations now taking part. So as well as performers from Missouri and Hawaii I was very pleased to photograph the Merrydowners Morris from the London Borough of Harrow and others from around London.
