Uniformly white to light cream in color, they vary in length from 7 to 15 mm. A specimen (SIO M1392), x x mm, was disarticulated for close study. The gir- dle, mm wide at the level of valve iv, is covered with spiculoid scales (Figs. 2A-a, and 2B), 60 x 10 /xm, sharply pointed, and deeply striated. The underside.
