The regains for the above conditionsof growth, according to Hartshornes tables, are forShort Staple Upland and for Long Staple neither of these conditions are likely to be duplicatedin manufacturing for a number of reasons, they do serve toarrest attention to the fact that what will suit one is byno means an index for the other, and that climatic conditionsduring growth affect the problem as well as technical con-ditions in processes of manufacture.
