The first post box to be painted gold in Nottinghamshire. It stands outside Lowdham Post Office in honour of Richard Whitehead


The first post box has been painted gold today, Sunday 2nd September 2012 in Nottinghamshire. It stands outside the Post Office in the village of Lowdham, in recognition of the gold medal won by Richard Whitehead in the London Paralympics 2012 T42 200 meters in a world record time of on Saturday 1st of September. Richard was born and raised in Lowdham but now lives in the nearby village of Burton Joyce.
