The progress of the school and the almost universalapproval of the new department augur well for its day of the Purdue-Wabash game, October 12, 1905,was the first time that the newly acquired medical studentsgave personal evidence of their willingness to be countedwith us in University affairs, and at that time the studentbody gave evidence of their willingness to initiate theMedics into the mysteries of Purdueism. On the morningof October 12, a special train from Indianapolis brought themajority of the Medical Department into LaFayette. Theywere met at the station by a grand procession of the Senior(lass with the Varsity Band and representatives of theFaculty, and escorted to the Court House square. Herethey were extended a most hearty welcome by Dr. Moranon behalf of the Faculty and by Mr. R. D. Kneale, president of the Senior Class, for the student body.
