This is agreat mistake, as it tends to a very slovenly exhibit of cull stuff. Inmany cases farmers will not try to pick out their best birds to show, butbring along a dozen or more, crowded into a coop big enough for a couple,with the idea that the judge will perhaps get one that suits him in thelot. I would suggest that a small entry fee be charged for each individualand that the prize money be increased in ^Vhite Holland Turkey. (a) I would suggest that prizes for the utility breeds be increased toas great an extent as possible. 3. Plymouth Rocks either White or Barred, Wyandottes, Orping-tons, Rhode Island Reds and birds of similar type are also very great deal can be said in favour of the Leghorn type, but in my opinionriothing can surpass Plymouth Rockh. 4. I personally use the hopper sj^stem in connection with the old handsystem of feeding chicks. Milk I consider a great help to growing like a house with combined cotton and glass front. If ordinary attentionis paid to cleanliness, and the birds are given an occasional mash, with avariety of grains scattered in a deep litter, with lots of clean water andgrit before them at all times, and animal food fed regularly, there will belots of eggs. 5. This is an exhibit that does not appeal very strongly to me. Ifit were properly conducted with prizes of sufficient value to bring
