Air Force Senior Airman Kahlil Pendleton-Kelly, a 407th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron weather duty forecaster, operates a Kestrel while observing the weather at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, Jan. 19, 2023. The Kestrel is used during manual surface weather observations by measuring temperature, dew point, atmospheric pressure, altimeter setting, wind speed and direction. These measurements are essential for safe airfield operations.
