Lava fountains during start of Iceland Eyjafjallajökull volcanic eruption at dawn 30 March 2010


Iceland 2010 volcanic eruption of the Eyjafjalla volcano started in March 2010 with lava fountains from a fissure near Fimmvorduhals between Eyjafjallajökull and Myrdalsjökull glaciers. Eruptions of the Eyjafjalla volcano is often followed by severe eruptions of neighboring Katla volcano.
