Caudal peduncle twice as long as deep. Scales with radiating striae, 39 gi, 2 between lateral line and ventral, 14 round caudal peduncle. Silvery, olive on the back. Total length 70 millim. Head with straight upper profiilc, 3^ times as lon^^ as broad, tw^ice as long as deep; snout acutely pointed, projecting slightly beyond lower jaw, more than ^ length of head ; eye 5 times in length of head, equal to interorbital width ; mouth extending to below posterior third of eye : no barbels ; naked space between praeoperculum and second suborbital nearly f width of latter.
