Pansies in black wrought iron window box on red brick wall, Ferrers Centre,Staunton Harold, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire,UK

Attractive display of pansies in black wrought iron window box on redbrick wall at the Ferrers Art and Craft Centre. Originally a Georgian stable block, built in the 18th century by the 5th Earl of Ferrers, with courtyard, coach houses, a granary and accommodation. The buildings have now been restored and converted into an arts and crafts centre containing a number of artists studios, workshops and galleries and a teashop around a central courtyard. The craft centre lies within the Staunton Harold Estate, which stands on land originally given by William the Conqueror to Henry de Ferraris in the 11th century, a name which later became Anglicised as "Ferrers".
