The Baboon Trap-door Spider is a sedentary terrestrial spider that lives in a silk funnel buried into the ground often under stones. The tunnel entrance is sealed with a flap that can open with remarkable speed and the spider can pounce on prey with amazing speed. Lines of silk act as trip wires to warn the spider of possible food approaching. They will aggressivley defend their nest.
