A pair of silver mounted French flintlock pistols,for the Oriental market,circa 1800 Two-stage barrels,octagonal then round after a baluster,smooth bores in 15 mm calibre. There are cut steel floral designs over a gilded background(somewhat worn)at the breeches. Lightly engraved flintlocks with gold inlay. Dark walnut stocks with tendril-shaped silver wire inlay and stamped silver furnitures with trophy bundles in relief. Whalebone ramrods with horn tips and bullet pullers.
