Pain relievedby vomiting and by taking sodium bicar-bonate until about one year before admis-sion, when these measures ceased togive relief. No nr has recently noticed splashing instomach and peristaltic movements inupper abdomen. Pliysieol Examinulion.—There is abulging tympanitic area in upper half ofabdomen corresponding to the positionof a dilated stomach. Here peristaltic. There is a palpable movable mass about thesize of a lemon just above and to the right of umbilicus. Wassermann —There is a huge stomach, the pyloric pouch three times the sizeof the cardiac pfjuch. The constriction between the two pouches is due to cica-trization of a large ulcer which forms a tumor nearly the size of a is obstructed by a similar large callous, apparently cicatrized, ulcer.
