HINDOO TEMPLE AND PALACE—MADURA. The singularly interesting remains represented in the accompanying engraving occur inthe immediate neighbourhood of the ancient city of Maduia, situated almost at thesouthern extremity of the Indian peninsula, and about 270 miles of city is enclosed by old bastioned stone walls, and was formerly , the capital of aprovince.
