Tuberculosis drugs. Collection of antibiotics used to treat infection by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This usually infects the lungs and can cause severe scarring. A common antibiotic drug used to treat it is Isoniazid (lower left). If tuberculosis is not completely eradicated, then drug-resistant forms can develop. The recommended strategy is DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment, Short-course), where the taking of the drugs is supervised by medical personnel. Photographed in Cange, Haiti.
