The vines are strong' and vigorous, bearing- an abundance of large, deep smooth fruit, of a beautiful purplish crimson color. The flesh is remarkably thick, firm and of very fine quality, with very few seeds. It is an excellent shipper. Does not crack or rot. as is the case with many of the old sorts.
