Autoradiograph of "DNA fingerprints" from paternity determination investigations
In both visible paternity investigations on the autoradiograph the putative father is "included." This means that his DNA bands match those of the child. This does not prove that he is the father. But, it does not exclude him the way a mismatch would. The results combined with other DNA probes would yield a determination as to the probabililty that he fathered the child.
