Very sweet-scented ; color a decided pink tinge on a fine, purple ground. 15 cts. each, $ per doz. New Violet, California. Described by introducer as follows : Plant vigorous and absolutely free from disease ; flowers single immense in size, covering a silver dollar ; color violet-purple ; does not fade ; fragrance intense ; flowers borne on strong stems 10 to 14 inches in length. Last season several hundred flowers were picked from a single plant. 5 cts. each, 50 cts. per doz. New Violet, the Farquhar. Unques- tionably the finest Violet in cultivation ; very large, double flowers on long stems; in color, the darkest and deepest blue of any variety; hardy and exquisitely fragrant. Mr. George A.
