America. Of handsome, majestic growth, at- taining a height of 6 feet; the magnificent bronzy foliage marked with green, having a peculiar lustre, appearing as if varnished ; flow- ers rich orange-salmon, feathered and veined with scarlet. 50 L-ts. each. Allemailia. This is perhaps the best of the Italian-type flowers, being exceptionally large, frequently measuring over G.} inches across; the upper petals salmon, with broad border and markings of golden-yellow, while the lower petal is darker salmon, marked with yellow in the centre; a fine flower and possesses more substance than others of this type; dark green foliage ; grows 6 feet high. (See cut on page 12.) 50 cts. each. Africa. Similar in foliage and habit to Amer- ica ; flowers large, of rich orange-salmon, deepening to scarlet in the throat; 6 feet. $ each. Asia. A bright yellow variety, similar to Austria, but with more decided deeper red spots in the throat; foliage deep green. 75 cts. each. Aplirodite. Deep green foliage and large flowers, upper petals salmon edged and feathered light yel petals light salmon with paler shadings. 75 cts. each. H. Wencllaild. An improved Italia, with larger flowers of better substance and richer color, the orange- scirlet on yellow ground being more intense; fine. § each. Lia France.
